The Eye Of The Storm project started in February 2023 by Riccardo Dessole, an Italian multi-instrumentalist based in Barcelona, Spain. This project is independent from the other band he is also a member of, Children of Dystopia.
Inspired by 70s and 80s Hard Rock and Classic Heavy Metal, his idea is to find a mixture of these genres, resulting in melodic heavy rock focused on melodies, catchy riffs, key changes and vocal harmonies.
The themes of the songs are mostly about positivity, love, friendship and self-confidence. The ultimate goal is to write songs in which the listeners can identify themselves in, thinking “Hey, I went through this too!”.
All the songs, instruments and vocals are recorded in studio by Riccardo himself.
The plan after the release of the EP, “In Hindsight”, is to release a full-length album at the beginning of 2024.
